Greek yoghurt and Greek Style yoghurt ??? Is not the same



We all know the difference between a regular yoghurt and Greek yoghurt.
The information can be found all around the internet.
Some of the differences we all know in mind, are that Greek yoghurt contains more protein and it is creamier in texture. The cost of the Greek yoghurt are much higher, compared to the regular normal yoghurt as it has more nutrients and also twice the amount of proteins.

Now what we might not know , is that , in the supermarket , they are also selling this “ Greek Style yoghurt “ and people like me , might thought that this is same as the Greek yoghurt. In fact, there are big differences between “Greek yoghurt “and “Greek style yoghurt”.
***Therefore, ‘Greek yoghurt “and “Greek style yoghurt” is not the same!!!!!!!

Now let me show the differences between Greek yoghurt and Greek style yoghurt.

Hence now we know why the real greek yoghurt are contains much more protein than the regular yoghurt.
But when we go to the supermarket , there is this “ Greek style yoghurt “ and the price are about the same as the regular yoghurt , thus we think that , hmm it must be the same as Greek yoghurt , therefore , we can get this .

In fact, it is not the case.
 "Greek style yoghurt " it is actually a name for a regular yoghurt that has been made it to a " Greek Style " Version . 

“Greek style yoghurt “is actually the normal regular yoghurt, that contains the same amount of nutrients and protein as regular natural yoghurt, but however, it has been added cream into it to give it a creamier texture just like the Greek yoghurt. You can also check the ingredients of making the “Greek style yoghurt “as you will find cream as one of the ingredient.
Therefore, Greek style yoghurt might not be as healthy compared to the regular yoghurt as cream has actually been added into it. Hence, it can be high in saturated fats and Trans fats.
So consume too much of the Greek style yoghurt might not be an ideal option.

Thus, this “Greek style yoghurt “does not go through the extra process straining. Hence when the yoghurt did not go through the extra process of straining, it will not contains higher amount of proteins as compared to the Greek yoghurt. The price of the Greek style yoghurt is about the same as the regular yoghurt.
